Playa Blanca is situated at the southernmost end of Lanzarote. The
fastest growing resort on the Island, Playa Blanca has strived, and
succeeded, to keep it's fishing village charm.
The Marina Rubicon is now fully open, and with a multitude of
restaurants, shops and cosy bars, it is the perfect setting for a
relaxing time in the sun, overlooking the many boats moored there.
There is a market each Wednesday and Saturday morning, where you can
buy gifts, clothing, and nick nacks as a reminder of your stay. The
shopping centre at the Marina contains a large supermarket, as well
as a bowling alley, gift shops, and electrical stores.
Turning east from Casa Bella will take you to the Papagayo beaches,
which are widely renowned as the best in Spain. Sheltered coves, and
shallow waters make these beaches ideal for lazing in the Lanzarote
sun. Should you fancy something a bit more lively, then west of Casa
Bella is Playa Dorada, the largest beach in the resort with
activities such as snorkelling, banana boats, and other water based
activities.
The town centre itself is crammed full with shops, restaurants and
bars - a true paradise for your holiday!
Playa Blanca is around a 40 minute drive from the airport, and has
many car hire companies in the resort, should you wish to explore a
bit further. There is also a bus service for access to the other
areas of the Island. Fuerteventura is accessible from Playa Blanca
too, from the harbour at the other end of the town.
